Private high-school

The school is located at city entrance as a strategic equipment ; it conforms to the strong topography of the site and extends in a U-shape around a landscaped and tiered courtyard opening on a remarkable scenery (wet zone).   Two buildings which reflect the influence of the territory, are connected by a double-entrance hall.

• The “Sillon”, mineral, monolithic, made of stamped concrete, bends towards the entrance, like a fold of the “Sillon de Bretagne”.
• With a vertical clerestory wood cladding, “Brière” is shaped around a vegetal patio. It extends downward with the central kitchen (2500 meals/day), the restaurant and the students’ home. The latter volume plays with the ground’s natural slope, fitting into the valley’s landscape and thus hiding the logistic zone corresponding to the kitchen’s service yard, the technical  and maintenance rooms.

  The access are optimized so as to offer a perfect fluidity in the separate management of the train station, parking (83 spaces) and the logistic yard complex traffic flow. The preserved land reserve remains in its present state as a natural meadow.
